I've stalked 4Runner/Tacoma forums for years. I am the past owner of a 1998 Tacoma 4x4 regular cab and a 1999 4Runner 4x4 SR5. Both great trucks and the only issue I had with either of them was the rear end blew out on the 4Runner. I just moved out to San Diego and didn't want to bother with having it repaired and more importantly I also wanted to find a rust free, SoCal 4Runner. I found one. It's a 1996 Limited. It has high miles, 230,000 but this thing is in primo shape. I think I picked it up for a good deal at $4,000. I keep my stuff pretty stock and will probably only tint the windows up front.
So is my truck the "Arctic White" I like it a lot, in different light it looks silver, white, or off white.
The stock chrome rims are not something I have seen before. From what I understand this was an option some dealers had for customers. Anyone else have these? I like the way they look and it is unique.
I have the original radio in it and picked up a tape with a cord running out of it so I can use my iPhone with it. Right now I put the phone up where my speedometer and tachometer are and that works pretty well, but does any one have any recommendations for something else? I have used RAM mounts in the past and like them a lot.
