The market in Portland is very similar to up here. Make sure to scout the Seattle craigslist too, a 3 hour drive is worth a nice 1st gen.

Looks nice. I have been driving behind at least 5 of those 3.0s when they have blown their head gasket.
Also with those tires unless he has regeared it is going to be GUTLESS.

well a blown head gasket sounds expensive.... and i asked if he had re geared it.. my ford bronco wasn't re geared and it sucked haha
So after what you guys have told me it looks like a 2nd gen would fit my needs better. What are the different options for a 2nd gen. It seems like most of them are v6's which would tow a small boat with no problem. What am i looking at for maintenance with a v6? Would a 22re tow a small boat? I like the gas mileage of that better haha
