they will fit with exception of very few agressive mud-terrains, so go ahead and pull a trigger on a deal

I bought mine w/ 265/70/17 on it (05 SR-5 4X4). But the mud flaps were removed also when I bought it. It looks like w/ 70 series tires you won't be able to use the front mud flaps because of clearance. The rear looks to have enough clearance, don't know why they were removed. Hope this helps.

Before I got a lift on my 4R I put on 265/70R17 BFG AT/KOs. Those are pretty beefy AT tires and they did not rub. They did, however, seem very close to the wheel wells but never caused any problems. Since I have put on a lift there is actually more rubbing:confused::confused:. But only when I back up.

So long story short, 265/70R17 in a normal tire should fit no problems.

I just installed 265-70-17 Bridgestone Revo's on mine, and took it out last night. No rub and descent grip! Great tire!

Most people report that 265/70/17 don't rub. Some report that hte BFG rubs a little on the upper control arm at full steering lock. I assume this is mostly on road driving. What I wonder is if there are more rubbing issues offroad and on uneven surfaces when the wheel is flexing,

What brand and model of tires? If it's the BFG KO T/A 265/70/17 --with my experience, they only rub (at the upper control arm) when i do a U-turn OR when cornering.

i would like to report that i just had a set of 265/70/17 firestone destination a/t's installed today and i am getting some minor rubbing on the mudflaps at full lock, as far as i can tell it's just the mud flaps. gonna take them off and hopefully they're not hitting anywhere else that i'm not seeing.

BTW...2006 4runner sport, no lift
