I was at a friends house, showing him my truck when one of my friends' neighbor's stopped and complimented me on it. He went on to say, he sold his 96' last Spring, and had a few parts left over. I remembered stopping and looking at it with the For Sale sign on it and shaking my head after having a look under it, and being amazed at the extent of the RUST! He admitted that was why he sold it. One of the goodies he said he still had in the garage, was a NEW sport hood with the scoop in flat black. He offered it to me for $250!!! I must admit I was tempted, but Christmas is coming and I've got to find $3000 for my kids' tuition for the Winter semester at College---- therefore, I'm broke!! Darn, I might have been able to swing it this Summer but alas, no. Timing is everything when you're on a budget!!
By my estimation, $250 is pretty cheap..... he bought it off a friend who works at a Toyota dealership. He said he put it in the paper???? locally, and I suggested he put it on CL. He didnt seem to be in a hurry to sell it, he said just knock on his door if I want it! Damn! So, is this a steal, or just a good deal? I was thinking of re-selling it if I could unload it BEFORE Christmas?? Thoughts?
