New Lexus Gx Caught In The Open

Here are another two pics for you to see the difference between the 09 and 10 model Prado. I don't like the new taillights. They look way to large in proportion to the body.

Hey benzo, great pics - it looks to me like in one of those pics you just posted (the one with the red arrow) that the new Prado gets an opening rear glass hatch for the first time - is that your understanding as well? If so, I assume the new 2010 Lexus GX460 will also get this feature? That's been my only real compaint about my GX is the "barn door" style rear door with fixed glass - it would be mucn better (still not as good as the T4R though) if it would at least allow the rear glass to pop open so you could stick long items out the back (like the 2nd gen CR-V's rear barn door with seperately opening hatch glass within it).

Yea that is what I was thinking too. If you look closely at the rear doors of both Prados, it looks like the new one on the right has a slight gap in between the glass and the door frame..which makes me think it is a lift up glass. Also, there seems to be a finger hook in the lower middle part of the window to lift the glass open. I would assume the GX version will be the exact same. This is definitely a welcomed feature. Not much longer and the Lexus GX will be introduced in China!

These pictures make me appreciate my baby more hehe. Still need to get used to the new "L Finess" styling of Lexus. I think it's worth every penny in the difference in price. After owning both, the comfort and size of the GX is far more distinct compared to the 4Runner..

I've always hated those high taillights. Reminds me too much of a Volvo or even a Honda CR-V, which are both butt ugly to my eyes.
