New liftgate, rear window won't roll down

Okay, so I finally got my freshly painted liftgate on. I had smashed in the back and it prevented the window from rolling down. So, got the new one on, wiper works, sprayer works, 3rd brake light works. Window won't roll down. When I press the down button, nothing, but if I press it up, I get a click sound. Anythoughts before I go yanking the old motor out to replace cause it looks like that would be a ***** to replace.

My problem is the lift gate window will go down about an inch then stopped. Found the problem, window hitting wiper motor when going down and hanging up on it. Tried to re-adjust several times but will work for a few cycles then right back to original problem........

First thought... don't overlook the easy solution... is your window lock on?

LOL! I have done that before with the other windows!
I actually got it working. I had pulled the plastic area around the e-brake and repainted it as it was looking bad, and used some air-in-a-can to blow out the connections and it started working again after connecting.

I'm not a tech, but I have had an intermittent problem with my rear window as well. I have noticed it also corresponds with the rear dome light not working. Is there a circuit which is somehow connected between the rear dome light and the rear window?

Not sure about them being connected, but my bulb was burnt out and it still worked.
