whats up y'all... just got my first 4runner a couple weeks ago and so far so good. plans are to keep it pretty stock and DD for a bit. id like to make it more comfortable, if thats even possible (maybe adding cushion to the stock seats?). it has some small amounts of rust here and there, biggest spot is near the fuel door and a small hole in the rocker in that area. id like to get the body fixed up and painted but thats not a priority now. so anyway here's the details:

86
235k
Sr5
1.5" wheel spacers
31" BFG's
2" OME rear leafs
mystery brand? (all white, no labels) extended rear shocks
ancient sony cd player

since i've owned it i put on bilstein front shocks and OME steering stabilizer. i dont think im going to be lifting it anymore, it won't see any major off road use, just some camping, snowboarding and some light/medium trails. IFS will remain, id like to do a cam/header and maybe some port work to get more power out of this slug but i know its limited. next plans are some bumpers (probably marlin's), the engine work and in the spring a soft top. over the winter im also gonna keep my eyes open for an e-locker rear axle setup, we'll see how it does this winter on the stock 4wd. thanks for looking.

You're a proud PAPA! I hate to break it to ya...but that thing is a piece of crap. I'll come out and get it off your hands...won't even charge you for it.

;)

Looking REAL good, man...love it!

Yes, installing a cup holder in dash that's in great condition does not make any sense to me??? If the 4runner was not in such good condition, especially the interior, then perhaps. I would probly have a discussion w/ uphostery shop and inquire if there's a product, or estimate whether dash can be repaired?? It's a keeper, great find, and enjoy!!!

yeah im gonna talk to one of the guys that repairs interiors at my shop, hopefully it can be fixed

Nice ride. An upholstery shop would have no problem replacing the seat cushion. Depending on cost associated with that, you could add later more modern seats. The fabric wont match, but you could always get aftermarket covers to change that. Congratulations on the purchase and post the updates as you go.
