Well I'd like to introduce myself, name is Ross. I sold my Z71 Silverado a while ago and have been in the market for either a Tacoma or 4Runner. I've owned both before my 5 year stint with the Z71 and decided it was time to go back!

My first truck was a 96 Reg Cab 4x4 Tacoma, V6 5spd

sold it for a 97 4Runner, V6, Auto, 4x4

Anyway here's what I just bought today, 96 Limited, V6, Auto, 4x4. Anyway hope to get it know everyone and to answer the first mod question...removing the gold emblems! :p

Welcome. That 96 reg cab 3.4 is kind of a rare bird. Should have held on to that one. I had a buddy that had a 97 reg cab 3.4 that I always wanted.

Welcome to T4R.org .. Congratulations on your LTD. If you haven't done so, remember to read through the stickies as they provide ample amounts of info., from maintenance, to mods, etc.. Since you are familiar with the 3.4L . One of the first things of course is getting fresh new oils in it as well as belts and what not. 3rd gen owners always tend to recommend getting an aftermarket Tranny/oil cooler, especially if she is to see off-road excursions..

Good Luck with her, I love the color!! :yo:

Yeah that's a sore subject, by far one of my biggest cases of seller's remorse

If I still had it, I'd take off the 3"BL and run some 35's (oh and change the wheels)

Thanks for the advice! Planning on spending some quality time reading up some stickies I've bookmarked, especially going to look into the tranny and oil cooler mod, as well as several other member's build threads.

Hopefully we have some nice weather again this weekend so I can do some basic maintenance and get her freshened up! As far as my plans with it, nothing too major, Gultches ORV isn't too far from me so a couple times a year a few of my friends will take our trucks and 4wheelers to do some trail riding and camp out the weekend.
