Hey Guys....Cool Forum. I found this site while researching the new Toyota 4Runner. The wife and I are looking to replace her 02 Trailblazer and are seriously considering a 04 Limited 4Runner V8. The other vehicle we are looking at is a Z-71 Tahoe. Here is my dilemma.....Toyota's lowest interest rate is 4.9% if you qualify. Chevy is doing 0% for 5 years....and I know I qualify. Do any of you know if Toyota is planning on running any kind of % specials in the very near future ???

I know this is a 4Runner wesite...so you may be biased...but what are your opinios of the new 4Runners....any problems I should look for ?? and last but not least..what did you or what would be a great price for a Limited V8 without Nav.

Thanks

Possible 4Runner owner.

First, welcome to the forum!!

Second, I'm not aware of any special financing. However, be aware that the dealer often has to kick in some money to buy down the rate, so you don't get as good a deal on the vehicle. Run the numbers carefully to make sure you're getting a really good deal either way.

Finally, we may be biased, but tool around the site. You'll find examples of problems some of us have had, etc. The "Problems and Warranty" section is a great place to start.

In general, Toyota does not offer the super-low APR rates on most of their vehicles. 4runners just came out...and selling relatively well. So, it is very unlikely that you will see any 0.0% rate.

APR rates can be negotiated with your local dealer. You won't get the 0.0%, but if you push them enough, then they can lower it a few 0.x%.

As for your other questions...just look around this forum and read up on things.

Welcome...and we're not bias at all...we just honestly think that the 4runner is best damn SUV on the planet!:D

BTW, what's wrong with the Trailblazer??

When the 4Runner 1st came out their had to be 10 trailblazer that where traded in for the Toyotas, 2 of them where a father and son.

The front of the dealer looked like a Chevy dealer:D

Thanks for the reply's ... Nothing is wrong with the Trailblazer....the wife wants to buy car a new every two years because of the milage. Unless she finds something she really likes. We have 34k on the Trailblazer and I didnt get the extended warranty. So its time. Whoever get this suv is getting a good deal. I have changed the oil every 3k even though its all highway...and have used Mobil 1 every oil change except for the last one, when we decided to get a new suv.

I did alot of surfing through this site..and you guy have a lot to offer !!!

Thanks a bunch.

Lets see if the local dealer can find us a Black Limited v8 - for a good price.

We shall see ?!?!!?
