Just bought a 2018 SR5. Base model. No Sun Roof (I live in Arizona), No heated leather seats or air blown in from the outside. (again, Arizona). No keyless entry or automatic doors.
It is a 4runner. Need I say more. I've been down Shenebly Hill in Sedona, the back side of Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, the back way to Crown King from Mayer, up Mingus on dirt and mud, and my favorite, Dogtown lake, where the ospreys hunt. 4k miles in 2 months. And I still want to sleep in it! (Planning a sleeping/cargo area build).
I have engaged downhill assist when lost behind Prescott on the way to Skull Valley. (took a wring turn down some rough road). 4 low may have done the trick, but downhill assist, while noisy, is unbelievable and fun.
It is all fun.
Love the posts and photos and information on this site. Glad to be a member.
Here she is. Worked the Westin Grill Guard into the purchase price with free install. Plasti dipped the emblems and rims. Gobi Roof Rack on the way. (16 week wait).
17.9 mpg to date.
