New motor change over

My #3 cylinder is blown and im going to drop a new one in this weekend assuming everything goes to plan.

Plan:
Friday Night: pull front clip off disconnect all mounts and pull from from vehicle

Saturday: Change over necessary components rip trans and tcase apart and change leaking seals along with flush and refills. going to replace plastic ball on bottom of stick and new mounts and clutch.

Sunday: Put everything back together not done saturday and get on road.

I would like to know what things you all have experienced and little tricks you have found to get around them?

Why are you pulling the front clip off? When i did a 3.4L engine swap in my 04 tacoma 4x4 i didn't even remove the hood.

Just fyi in case you haven't yet seen some of the other threads where people did this. There are some good ones.

Why pull the wiring harness?

It's easier to remove the engine with the wiring still attached to it than remove every wire from every sensor, IMO. It also makes it easier to install, knowing that you aren't getting hung up on wires hanging in harms way.

If you have nevery performed these things before your plans sound optimistic. I would focus on the motor only instead of tearing into mutiple things at once. Good luck.
