Nothing qualifies me for an opinion, but if you must ask, my response would be that i have seen way too much violent crime in my life. I as well see no reason for the general public to possess full auto assault weapons. Wouldn't it much nicer if the Mexican drug Cartels shot everyone with paint ball guns ?
It is also interesting that most violent crimes in the same category as the the one at hand, are always committed by white, middle class, or upper middle class people that are actually intelligent, or above average IQ'S.
Sure going out and blowing crap to hell with a full auto weapon is fun, but that does not mean that any num nuts should be able to go purchase one. I get the 2nd amendment blah blah blah, bottom line, these weapons are built to kill and that is it, want to play with one, join the service or become a LEO.

I am so sick of this nonsense! Most violent crime is not committed by law abiding citizens. It is unfortunate, that a very small minority of "unstable" individuals happen to have access to these weapons and commit horrific crimes, but you can't really believe that most violent crime in this category is committed by "white middle class, or upperclass people". Wake up! There is so much of this going on in our inner cities (mostly perpetrated by gangs) that never makes the news because it happens so often. Just look at Chicago or other major metropolis'.

I forgot to mention....as you may already know, it is almost impossible to purchase and use a "full auto" weapon in this country without extensive background checks and huge licensing fees.. Furthermore, if you look at the statistics, "legal" owners of "full auto" weapons DO NOT have a history of committing horrific crimes!

Sorry, but I really do not believe there is a correlation between a person's race or intelligence as the significant factor for which these crimes are committed. I would try staying away from using words like "always".

- Ft Hood massacre (classified as a random act of workplace violence, not terrorism).
- DC sniper shootings
