When I retired, I bought a '69 FJ40. Couldn't drive it for numerous reasons=mostly health. Bought a '19 Nautical Blue SR5 Premium (17 K miles) for her. Broke my heart to sell the FJ, so she gave me the 4Runner IF I would buy her something smaller suitable to 4-5 months of winter snows. We got her a '13 RAV4 (25 K miles). Paid cash for both. The 4Runner (aka "Blue Beast") has been all over the SW US in all weather, including 3 solid days of heavy snowfall, including whiteout! She loves her RAV for around town but swears she will never get rid of the "Beast", even after I am gone!

We tried to use the highlander as a 4runner for too long. Glad we both found one.

Right now I’m enjoying the combo of 4Runner/Highlander. It’s the his/hers in our garage right now.
