Posted this in the 6th Gen. Bring it over to correct app. Traded new 2021 TacomaTRD, not needing anymore, sitting in garage, 2744 on odo. We did trade our 2018 4R for the Tacoma, using for E-Pro RV. Sold the RV, decided to go back to the 4R-4WD.
Lot of calling, 4 states, more problems trying to get an allocation, and in color, etc. needed. Base SR5 MG-4WD, couple options. One dealer in TN said get ready to pay $2500-$5000 up charge. Dealer in KY, said only selling to in state residents.
Other dealers, 4R's on the way, and all pre-sold, except a few Limiteds. We also upped the model to an SR5 Premium, there are a few, needed MG.
Did find one at another TN dealer, VIN ready, on boat, to port 12/8. Port options needed, should see about 12/27 to 12/30, or sooner.
This is our 6th 4R since 2008, all good, we did trade often in the past.
Contacted 7 dealers, 4 states.
The deal : 2022 SR5-4WD, 4R, MSRP with all options, etc. $41137
Trade for Tacoma: $41000. $137 difference.
These pictures from our relatives in Cincinnati, the '18 4R here, traded to the '21 TRD Tacoma. We purchased this 4R in April 2018, $36445, dealer in TN gave us $36584 for it on trade, 32445 on the odo.
