I was actually looking for some black rims, but I'm unsure of which ones to get! I also plan on getting some mud flaps and a hood scoop. Lastly I was planning on lifting it (2 inches) but I'm unsure of whether it will make it unsafe for me to drive, especially since I'm a new driver.

Jesus I love the 5th gen but jesus I wish my mom would've bought me a 36k dollar car when I was 16.
I worked for my 4Runner, but I'm much more happy that I have a V8. I'm going to be getting a Camry SE V6 in about a year to a year and a half and my truck will be getting my truck.... isn't it supposed to be the other way? :bolt:
Enjoy your truck and don't be a stupid teen driver. Wear your seatbelt and pay attention to your surroundings. I may only be 19 but I've seen a lot and lost 3 of my best friends to stupid driving. It isn't worth it. Oh, and your phone is the last thing to mess with behind the wheel, it can wait.
Other than that mod it to your liking, but don't to stupid stuff. Maintenance comes first, bling bling comes second.

There are plenty of black wheels to choose from and everyone's opinion is different...check out the lifted pics thread to get some ideas. You might as well get new tires while you are at it. You can re-coup close to half of your new wheel/tire investment by selling your low mileage take-offs, so the sooner the better.
DO NOT GET A STICK ON HOOD SCOOP!
Just level it out with the Bilstein 5100 shocks...this will make it safer to drive!

Can I jealousy rage? When I was 16 my first car was a $200 1983 4-cyl mustang that hadn't been started in 2 years. And I had to pay for it. Shit I'm 33 now and I'm still driving a 2007 Sport Edition.

I'm 31 and my first car was an '86 Civic Hatchback... Bought in 1998 I think? $500... Lol.
And I'm 6'7"! Loved that car though!
