It might taste like an F350 but I would imagine you will not get the terrible aftertaste from a failed transmission like some F350 owners have.
You may also be less likely to snack as often on brake pads and rotors with an '07 Tundra than you would with a F350.

Power plants????
Has anyone found any Toyota Documentation about the new power plant???? If it can beat the Big Three for Power, Mileage, and be at least equal in the towing department...... I think you will see alot of domestic truck owners jumping ship. I can't wait to drive one.

Should be interesting to see how the new Tundra competes with the Big Three's large truck offerings. Last weekend I traveled to rural Maryland and I noticed a heck of a lot more Tundras, Tacomas, 4Runners and other Toyota vehicles than I expected. This in a part of Maryland that traditionally had bought almost exclusively American in the past.
I was not talking from first hand experience. A friend of mine bought a F350 SD Diesel for $45K+. A couple of years later (while still in warranty) the transmission went on it. Ford would not replace the tranny or even help him out with the cost of the replacement tranny ($6K). My friend tells me that the F350s are well known for going through Discs and brake pads fairly quickly.
BTW, my friend with the F350 had an accident in which the truck with the new tranny was totalled. He bought another F350 which so far has had fewer problems although the newer diesel engine does not perform as well as the old one. FYI, I have no doubt what-so-ever that if Toyota builds a version of the Tundra that can fill my friends needs he will buy one in a heartbeat.

It's supposed to be able to tow 10,000 lbs. w/ the optional 5.6/5.7 liter V8.

My best friend who does custom car design was asked by Bushwacker to design the fender flares for it. They will be premiered at the SEMA show next week. I know the truck is deff rated as a real 1/2 ton. According to Autoweek the "next thing" is a Heavy Duty...sounds kind of strange from Totyota but I would love to see it.
