New purchase

I've been in the market for awhile now and finally pulled the plug. Got a great deal on a 2009 SR5 4wd. Problem is, it has high miles (130k), a couple bad tires and a bad battery. I'm on a bit of a budget, so I have to pick and choose my fixes over the next several months.

My question is with that many miles, what type of service/tune up do I need? Don't have any previous records cause my father in law picked it up at the auction for me, but it's in excellent shape so I'm assuming the PO took good care of it. And there is an up to date oil service sticker in the windshield.

I'll add some pics after I take all the auction writing off the windows.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Wow! At least you know those kind of miles, it just has to be all highway. Congrats!

I would do the below as soon as you can/funds allow. Unless you find any of these were already done recently via carfax or the Toyota owners website.

Timing belt water pump if v8
Transfer case and front/real diff fluifs
Oil change (unless that is a good /very recent sticker).

There are other things, but those are at the top of my mind.

Sounds like a commuter vehicle. I would change the battery first to not get stranded then work on getting new tires. I have an 04' I bought in Dec. of 03' with 82k miles which sound good but my wife used it as a commuter and put 52k on it in the first 2 years we had it. Thus far I have replaced the tires and brakes and everything else has been oil changes and she still runs like a top. Just found out I need new shocks so that will be the first more involved job I will be doing after almost 10 years, but I haven't even had to replace the original battery yet. So I think you have nothing to worry about.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

These batteries are awesome. My sister's 2005 RAV4 still has the original Panasonic Battery with over 149,000 on it.
