New Rack

those back up lights might be just the ticket for drivers here in NY who insise on driving with their Hi beams on... too damn cheap to replace their headlights.

So I just came across some extra dough... I was liking the ROLA Vortex racks and I want one with an extension...

Question:

How is yours holding up? Looks great on your truck, I would love some Low-pro mounts like those.

I want this rack because it looks like a good length to mount some lights pretty far forward.

So far so good the only think is one of the screw that hold the rack together fell off.

Cons: The material they used kind of sucks but I guess you get what you pay for. & its loud with out a deflector

Would you not recommend it in this case? I do like the bajarack but I can't find one for the life of me.

I noticed you don't have any lights mounted to the front of the rack, too. Would you say that it would be a bad idea with this rack?

I was thinking of getting an air deflector, too, so no hassle on the noise level. I really just want a lowpro rack with some good light mounting skills

lol so u think ur air deflector is better then the one that came stock with the roof rack? i hated the plastic one that came with it bc it actually made it louder on the road so i took mine off and can barely hear it tho i do have lights mounted on there... once i get it customized to be full length im gonna make an air deflector out of some aluminum sheeting.

It's quieter with it off? If so then I'm gonna take mine off because I think it would look better without it.

I had no deflector on it when i 1st installed it and it howled way louder then my tires.

really? for me i noticed a slight howl with the wind fairing on on the highway and once i took it off i could barely hear anything especially with the lights its like dead silent unless there is alot of wind then i can maybe hear something (though its very faint).

Pure 98, what kind of lights are those on the back of your rear spoiler/roof rack and where did you get them?

Also, where did you get the rear hitch mounted recovery ring?

How did you mount the ax to the inside of the truck?

Wow that looks really good. Those lights mounted to the rear wing are a great idea for myself needing some light at night for hitching up my trailer.
