New Sensations - Transmission Slip?

I've had the drivetrain clunk (prop shaft replaced), the 1st to 2nd hard shift (trans reflashed), and the parking lot wind up/gear hunt (got used to it). I've also experienced shifting from R to D without a complete stop, the Hill Hold feature, and the traffic light hesitation when quickly shifting from N to D.
Now I've just experienced a tranny slip. Feels more like my diff or T/C is spinning 1/2 a turn before engaging than the tranny actually slipping but that can't happen, right?

Has only happened 4 times so far and only in the first mile of driving. It's Summer so extreme cold or heat doesn't seem likely to have caused it.
I haven't checked my fluid levels yet but no leaks are apparent.
I changed the Rear diff fluid about 10k ago and not yet replaced the T/C fluid.
My odo reads 45k. I do not have an extended warranty.

Anyone have this?

Try adding a quart of WS trans fluid while everything is cool (ambeint temp 50-90*). Then drive 2 miles. Leave the engine running, trans in park. Remove pan level inspection bolt. Fluid should be dribbling (real term) out lol. If not, rinse and repeat. Sounds like you are a little low.

Another option is to drain and refill the pan. Then check the level. Checking sealed units are not the rocket science that other written directions would seem.

It seemed to improve after a firmware update but maybe I just got used to it.

that's good to hear about the 1st & 2nd gear thing - mine's been doing that for a few weeks now. how much was the reflash? I have no warranty. Also, if I go to my local and I tell them that I need the tranny reflashed, will they know what I'm talking about?
