New sound system components, need advice!

About to order sound system components for my 2002 4Runner, wanted to see what you guys think of the selections, and if you have any pointers/tips etc..

Need help selecting wiring, would love suggestions.

This setup would cost about $950.93 off amazon(without wiring), and the same parts would be $1259.95 on crutchfield. Any advice is welcome, thanks guys!

are you going to run factory speaker wires?

also you might want to look for a different set up for sub. are you trying to keep space down? by the door speakers are going to be able to put out some noise! (i didnt see an amp for you sub. you need an amp)

I'm going to run stock wiring, I did want to conserve space, so I chose the 12inch. Isn't the amp I selected able to run the whole system? At least that's what the manager at car toys told me..

The "kicker panels" are considered the "front door speaker" correct?

Kicker panels are the front door speaker, yes. *possibly rear doors also, but not usually*

I have two 12s and an amp, both Kicker (CVRs and a ZX750.1), and no amp on component speakers. My Alpine head unit, CDA-9886, pushes the components who enough to usually be on par with the bass. Car toys isn't the best place for advice, IMO. If you want to keep as much usable space as possible, I'd go with a 10" sub and nice mids/highs. Running one amp for components and subs has never been efficient in my experience at least.

I tried the Alpine 5 channel PDX-V9 amp with a JL 10"w0 and 8" w6. Wasn't enuff to push them for me (not both subs @ once).
Want with an Alpine mono sub amp and it sounds great with the 8"w6.
The HU alone is enuff to run the door speaks.

Make sure you get a monoblock amplifier for your sub(s), don't run two speakers with totally different power requirements off the same amp either, lol.

Honestly, a JL W3 10 or 12 with anywhere from probably 400-800 watts would likely be more than enough, unless you're a legit audiophile, or don't like your hearing.

Run new power wire from the battery to the head unit. Include both (+) and (-) and use a small fuse within 10" of battery on the (+) cable. Run the ground back to the battery as well. Use 12 G copper wire for each. This will help to prevent engine whine.

Run new speaker wire from the 4-channel amp to each door speaker. 14-G copper (real 14-g) would be a great fit.

u could run that. I would run all new speaker wire from the 4ch to all speakers. keep your main power wire on one side and run your rcas on the opposite side that will help with the whine.

Can you make some reasonably priced suggestions for the monoblock amp? Other than that, should everything else I have chosen work well?

So if I did what you were saying, what would you suggest to keep it around the same price? I'm gonna have a friend help install the equipment, but I need help selecting the components to purchase. I really like the sound the jl audio speakers put out with the alpine 12" sub.

The system I had selected was around $950 and I don't want to spend much more. So I'd like to keep it around that price and get the best bang for the buck.
