New spark plugs ,have a bad stumble now ?

So I watched youtube on how to diy cool , everything nice & smooth 1 closet to firewall hardest like everyone said ok no prob , button up fire up drive around the block & real hard stumble & cough ? Possible bad coil ? It was running ok but recent purchase at 89,714 , all service at findlay toy. babied by previous . Gonna try putting old plugs back to see if that fixes it, both sets are denso orig. are 30thou , I purchased iridium long life HELP Mike n lv

Yes sir did that 3 times, pulled all the connectors made sure hadn't fouled em up or put em on bad I think! Will go and do it over , can't imagine what could be wrong it was running ok but thought plugs were old since I've had it for only a thou. IDK thanks
 
I changed the plugs on my gx470 and afterward it had an occasional stumble.It ran fine prior to the swap. I took it to the shop and they found a coil pack had gone bad. I hope this helps.

Well after much doing & re=doing plugs coil packs bought 1 from pepboys they sell denso by the way, apparently didn't have plugs seated down tight enuff also bought a 60$ actron obd2 , told me misfires n all cylinders so went back pulled all the packs retighten all & bueno, much stress learn & live thanks to all who went before!!!! as a ps put a whole can of seafoam before plug change possible Fup also ? IDK
 
Could be the plug wires. (sorry, do the 4th gens have coil packs on one side and wires to the other side like the 3rd gens?)
 
I am dealing with this today. Heavy stumble and hesitation when driving and idle after new plugs


Replaced all 4 plugs, and PCV valve.

Torqued plugs to 15 ft lbs. Rechecked everything just now and have battery unplugged for 30 minutes.
 
Did you check the gap of the plugs before you put them in?

Here's what you do.

Pull each plug and check the gap to make sure it was gaped properly.

1. If plug wasn't gaped properly then
. Regap and reinstall.
. Take a ride. If problem still exists then proceed to Step 2.
. Else you're done and you found the problem.

2. If plug was gaped properly then.
. Replace plug with old plug.
. Then take a ride to see if there's still a problem.
. If there is still a problem - then go to next plug and repeat step 1.

. If after you go through all the plugs and there's still a problem then at least you eliminated the plugs...and it's probably coil or connector.

Interesting. The OEM plug I purchased from Toyota was way off center.

Replaced and running perfect!

Things can happen during shipping...or it even happened at the factory. That's why you should ALWAYS check the plugs before installing.
