New Steering Rack Issues

Hey guys I just installed a new steering rack for the first time and I'm having some problems hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Problems:
1) Steering is really stiff when turning to the the left but not so much when turning right.
2) There's a grinding noise every time I turn left.
3) When the 4R is off I'm still able to turn the wheel pretty far to the left before it locks.
All the lines and hoses look fine, I haven't seen any leaks pump seems to be fine as well. A lot of the grease in my torn axle has flown out, so could that be my issue? Or could it be a steering shaft or pump going out?

I can post a video of my symptoms if that'll help.
Thanks

Did you center the steering rack and the wheel when you installed it?

Also have you had an alignment performed since then?

Which axle is torn?

Driver side is torn and the steering wheel isn't centered but I wouldn't suspect that to be the cause of the grinding noise. I mean I could be wrong. I'll try some WD-40 on the shaft and see what that does.

Okay, but did you center the rack when you installed it?

i.e. turned it so that it's perfectly centered and then adjusted/installed the tie rods to close to what they were on your vehicle.

If the rack was not centered when you installed it, it could mean that when you're turning left you're maxing out the travel on the steering rack faster than on the right.
