being that your sig says ontario shouldnt a tire that possess snow qualities be in order?
100% highway and city roads driving. No offroading, very little snow. I live in South Western Ontario where it snows very little.

Hard to make a solid recommendation without more info. If you're looking for an all terrain tire, check out the Bridgestone Revo 2, very solid tire.

I have the Michelin LTX MS2 tires and love them. They come with a 70K mile warranty. A little pricey, but if you are going to keep the vehicle it's worth it in my opinion.

These are really nice tires. I had just bought my second set of them in July, but then decided to lift and up-size to an A/T tire. I have the full set, practically brand new sitting in my garage 265/60 18, if you know anybody needs some good tires.....will make a good deal on them.

@Silver - glad you posted this. Subscribed. I have the same criteria; highway use only, grandpa, etc.
I plan to ditch my oems when the Blizzaks come off in the Spring.
As others have stated based on what you are looking for Michelin is the only choice. You have 3 models to choose from. The Latitude, Cross Terrain, and LTX M/S. There is an LTX AT2, but it is probably a bit more aggressive than what you are looking for. The Cross Terrain is being discontinued and being replaced with the Latitude in many sizes, but since it was an OE tire in this size they will make it for years to come. You may also run across X radials at discount clubs which are the same tires, just made specifically for them.
All 3 are solid choices. The new Latitudes claim to provide improved gas mileage. Not sure that would motivate me to buy them, but they tend to be the least expensive of the 3. What made the difference for me when I replaced mine 3 months ago was that the Cross Terrain were the only black wall tires. The others have raised white letters. I know you can turn the black wall side out, but I don't like that you can still see the white letters and it looks like you put your tires on inside out. The price for all 3 are pretty close. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

Although I like Michelin tires...I just think their tire prices are no longer competitive.
I've been running Cooper tires for 10+ years now. Great tires...Perform as well as any Michelin tire I've ever owned...and last nearly as long..but cost about 40% LESS.
My current tire is their new Cooper Discovery AT3. Great tire....Excellent in the snow...and very smooth and quiet ride. Also very very good on wet rainy surfaces.
But if you don't get much snow..they the Cooper Discovery HT or HT Plus is a good choice. Long lasting....good performance...You may need to put it 4wd more often then the AT3's.
