New tire recommendations - quiet, smooth riding, paved roads focussed

I also recommend the Geolander... it came stock on my 4runner, and if it wern't for the copious amounts of snow around where I live, and the need for a bigger tire, I would definitely keep them on my truck. They are also quite cheap at the moment.

EDIT: These tires will NOT do well in snow.

When I got my Runner in 08 it had a brand new set of Toyo Open Country HTs and tho I did not want a highway tire they have worked out great. They have lasted this whole time with me being unkind to them. Not a snow tire but for you thats not a problem.

I have Michelin Latitude Tour on my 4runner now. I can't tell much difference in ride or noise over the Geolander's I replaced. But the Geolanders did not wear and I got the Michelins $160 cheaper because big tire store honored the wear warranty.

The best price I found for the Michelins was at a Ford dealer that would match any offer and have a mounting balancing charge of only $10/tire with unlimited rotations free.

just buy these and be done with it. There suuuuuper quiet on the highway and do great in the rain....this thread is too long, and I'm bored. just had to do it :frisky:
