New tires/wheels vibration

Ok so I have researched but wanted some help if possible. I recently got my 2010 fitted for new wheels Fuel Octane 17x8.5 -5 offset and put Nitto terra grapplers (stock 265 70 17) on them. I used these lugnuts (Gorilla Automotive 21133BC Small Diameter Acorn Black 5 Lug Kit (12mm x 1.50 Thread Size). They look great and ride good until about 60 mph. Then I get a slight vibration in steering wheel and seat. I know they balanced them but do you think this is a balancing issue or something with the tires? Or something else. It is very frustrating. Would love any opinions.

Thanks, I have been reading the balancing threads and maybe that is it but I know they used a roadforce balancer when I had them put on so Im still baffled. It cant be alignment because I had zero vibration before I put these on. I guess ill go back and have them try again. Im hoping its not the tires themselves.

Do you know if the new wheels you put on are lug centic or hub centric? If hub centric, perhaps you might need to get a hub spacer ring to get it perfectly centered (if you don't already have that installed).

Also what you can try is rotating the wheels around and seeing if you possibly isolate it to one particular wheel that's out of balance.

If it was me, I'd first go back to the shop and have them check the balance one more time; even though they used a top notch machine, mistakes can still happen, so it's worth a shot to double check them

I've got a friend that owns the tire shop down the street from me. He has all of the right equipment to properly mount/balance my Toyota tires. Over the years, I've had to bring back several of my balance jobs for a second or even a third try as he'll have an occasional new guy that doesn't get it right. It's pretty common...

having worked tires for a few years...toyotas are some of the worst/hardest to get balanced correctly.

Most likely its a tire balance issue. However make sure there is no rust build up on the rotor as the new wheel has a different "footprint" than the stock wheel. Also make sure any rotor "retainig clips" are removed as well as checking the hub clearances. Good luck!!!!!

I've done some research as well and still don't quite understand the hub centering ring thing... by the use of the lug nuts he specified, isn't his wheel by definition, lug centric?
