New to 4runners and forum

I just purchased a 2008 SR5 with 46K miles for $23k in May. I thought it was a decent deal. I had a 2000 Tacoma but needed something that could hull my work gear and the kiddos around. I had 129K on the Taco and it still looked and ran well, so I wanted to stick with Toyota.

So far, these are the things I've done to it in the short time have owned it:

-Dipped the door handles, grille, and hatchback.
-Debadged it, except for the Toyota emblems on the front & back
-Added an after-marker spoiler
-Painted the wheels black
-Tinted the front two windows 35%
-Took out the stock CD player and installed a Pioneer FH-X700BT CD receiver so I would have BlueTooth capabilities
-Put in some Wet Okole seat covers (honestly, the toughest thing I've done so far. Those are a ***** to get in)
-Had to get floor mats, so I found some factory ones on line.

I'm pretty much done with the outside. Thinking my next project is to upgrade the interior lights to LED. I would like to switch out the orange dashboard lights with white ones, but it's hard to find time to do something that involved with kids, and have it be ready for work on Monday.

Overall, I'm happy with the way it turned out. It's pretty fun customizing your ride.

Thanks fellas. My cousin works at a dealership and painted the wheels for me using high temperature paint. There were supposed to be matte black but ended up semi-gloss. He baked it twice but still no matte. I think they turned out alright though.

Nice! I have the same Pioneer Head Unit. I REALLY want to get Wet Okole seat covers for my '03. Is it worth the cost/effort to install?

The Wet Okole are really nice. They are really tight fitting on the first install. I took them out to wash them, and when I reinstalled they were stretched out and took about 15 minutes compared to the 90 min on the initial one. They're waterproof and its great for people who live by the beach and/or work outdoors and sweat a lot in their car (my case). I only ordered the front seat covers because of the $200+ price and they sent me a cover for the middle console which was a nice unexpected bonus. Once the child seats are out I plan on getting the rear seat covers. I like the fact they are handmade, made and you customize it with the colors and features you want. They are an exact fit and if you got the cash I think it's a good investment to save your seats. If I had to do it over again I would have got the pistol case to hold my wallet, cellphone, and sunglasses.
