New to board, purchasing used t4r soon, have questions

Hello everyone. I'm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and will most likely be purchasing a used 4runner in the near future. My wife is pregnant and assuming all goes well I will be selling my 2004 Honda S2000 and getting something with a back seat. Have done some research and have my heart set on a 4runner. The question I have been unable to get answered anywhere is... which model years, generations, or whatever of 4runners have the rear hatch glass that will roll down? I know this sounds silly, but as a guy who would rather still be in a convertible, this is one of the many features that attract me to 4runners. I would also prefer a manual transmission and those seem to be hard to come by, what's up with this? Any other advice would be much appreciated, or if anyone is in my neck of the woods and knows of good 4runners for sale or people interested in purchasing a badass little sports car let me know.

I just bought a 2007 SR5 and it has the sunroof and rear rolling window. i also like this option, and you can hardly tell the back window is open...except for the cars coming by

Youll want a 3rd gen if you are after a manual trans. The rear window thing is on all 4runners except 1st gen i think.

1st gens have rear windows that roll down too.
They also have the advantage of a removable top.

But you'll be need a car seat for the kid, and a later 4 door model makes that a lot easier.
