new to dirt bikes

I'm shopping around for a dirt bike. I know i want a 250+cc 2-stroke used.
What are some good bikes to consider?

Honda. Have 2002 CR250. If new to dirt bikes and 2 strokes you might wanna go with a 125..

New to dirt bikes, not 2 strokes, had a 2 stroke 4 wheeler, they're jumpy little bastards.

Nice.. A 2 stroke motocross bike is a different animal compared to a 2 stroke 4 wheeler. Sure the 4 wheelers get up and run but 250 2 stroke will require some attention to throttle control and finesse or you'll be a hurting unit.

I'd try and find a good condition 2001 or older CR. In 02 they went to an RC valve. Some don't prefer it but I love mine. It's a pure rocket. Starts on first kick. If the RC Valve doesn't concern you there's plenty of 2002-2007 on E-Bay.

Some say the 2001 was the best CR made. Open to discussion but to each their own.

Yeah I'm sure the power to weight ratio is double if not more on these bikes. But I'm goin bawls to the wall, I'll figure it out. If I break anything hopefully It's something i have 2 of. :rockon:
