it hasn't been updated since then, is it worth the money (200 bucks I really don't have) to update the navigation? Should I go to the dealer or try to find one on ebay, etc....which one do I need? Thanks a bunch!

Personally, no. You can get a nice Garmin with lifetime map updated included for less money, would be a much more valuable option. I'm about to ditch my 03 nav and won't look back.
If your nav is the stock nav from that year, there are files on some of the torrent sites that are copies of nav update DVD's for that Nav generation. From what I've read, you will need to have a Dual layer DVD burner to burn a DVD that will work and certain brands of DL DVD's should be avoided.
I was going to do the same thing for my Nav(2005 Limited) but unfortunately they only used the Nav in the 2005 for one year so I couldn't find any files online and ended up buying some update DVD's from a guy on craigslist. Plus I don't have a DL DVD burner so I couldn't burn a DVD even if I had found the files. YMMV

Thanks everyone! I was only thinking about it because I will be moving from CO to KY and don't know much about the things along the way, plus don't know anything about the area we are moving into, so, I will be using it a bunch.
One other question...does it also update, hotels, traffic, etc...or just roads?

It updates everything. Roads, hotels, gas stations, all the points of interest are updated.
