New to me 2000 SR5

Haven't really been on here all too much lately, mostly just been lurking around as I've been pretty busy with school and other things. But I just picked up this 2000 SR5 runner in Desert Dune Pearl yesterday, and with only 160K miles (160,027 when I test drove it). Drives well, maybe a little better than my old one, and looks good. Doesn't appear thus far to have any issues other than bald tires, a hole in the driver's side floor mat and a messed up stereo system/radio, but easy fixes that won't be a problem.

I'll have to get used to the cloth seats and black trim. Gave up the leather and fake wood. Once I graduate in May I'll start up a build thread as I was getting ready to build up my old one. Thankfully I hadn't started yet. Just had a CB in her, but I pulled that out before USAA took it. More to come in the future with a build thread!

Here she is as she sits, and the old one. Had to get rid of her cause she drove low on the driver's side for some reason:...

That's a nice looking replacement, WR. Sorry you had to. Do you still own the old one and if so, do you plan to use parts from it? or part it out? Good Luck and nice find on the 'runner.

USAA has her down in Fredricksburg unless they auctioned it off or something, not sure what they're doing exactly. Used the money they gave for the new* one. I wish I still had her... Living on a college budget though.

Salvage yard pics

Looks like 1st responders used jaws of Life on that old silver Camry.

Man I wish my flares were color matched desert dune pearl. It's the best color on these and really hides dirt. You'll love it!

Hey thanks, you have a nice rig yourself. Glad you switched over to the 4Runner side! Can't wait to start up a build thread.
