Hello guys,

I have been reading up when i get a chance a few days during the week here and there. Very cool forum, looks like everyone is very helpful rather than bashing people like must forums, nice for a change.

I purchased a:

2000 3.4L SR5 4X4 in Desert Dune (Love this color), 160,000 miles, for $5500.00 in excellent condition with all records from 28,000 miles. Every Oil change, tire rotation, everything! with leather & wheel arches. I believe leather and the wheel arches were options. Besides that it is basic. Which in my application is perfectly fine. I doubt i will be doing any real off-roading. Maybe some mud / snow in an open field but thats about it.

I purchased the vehicle because i am a Property Manager / Real Estate investor and I am always driving around the city through all weather conditions, down the back street that was not plowed full of snow and ice, so i need the 4x4. Also stopping at home depot to pick thins up, whether its a door, for rent sign, hot water heater etc…So i need the extra space.

I needed:
- Space
- 4x4
- Decent mpg
- Something i could play with / mod
- Comfortable
- Reliable
- Cheap parts
- Easy to fix
- Cool looking (who wants to drive a Rav4 those are really ugly)

So far the 4runner has done everything on my list of things i wanted it for besides MPG. I do not believe i am getting the right MPG (13 - 16mpg in 2wd). I have yet to go over the whole truck because i have been busy with work this winter.

Moving on to my maintance plan:

Clean Mass Air Flow
Clean Throttle Body
Replace PCV Valve - OEM
Replace Fuel Filter - OEM
Replace Oil filter - OEM
Change Oil 5W-30 Synthetic Mobile 1
Rest EFI Relay
Wheel Balance & Alignment
Do Timing Belt ( What are some good kits out there? )
Check Tire Pressure - what tire pressure do people usually run on OEM size tires?
Check drive shafts by twisting them by hand see if they move. They should not move. Grease Drive Shafts
Check power steering bushing - Any good aftermarket bushings?
Automatic Transmission filter - OEM
Check Brakes, they may be sticking, feels like the passenger rear
Check Ball Joints
Check Lower Control Arms bushing
Check Sway Bar Links and Bushing
Check Axle Seals
Check Rear Diff Breather hose
Check Motor / Transmission mounts - any stiffer aftermarket options?
Lube Drive Shafts - what grease to use?
Change Transmission Fluid - what weight?
Change Diff Fluid - which fluid?
Bleed / Change Brake Fluid
Flush Coolant
Adjust parking brake
Clean 02 sensors
New Front Radiator - which one? OEM or a better after market?

Anything else i should look at / do i am very particular and like things to be in perfect working order.

Going to upload pic's when i get home
