Hello fellow 4th gen 4runnerers :hello:. Just picked up a brand spankin' new '08. It's a white 4WD V6 limited fully loaded. I got a killer deal since they're trying to push these bad boys out the door for '09 and the 0% financing doesn't hurt, either. Luckily enough, I got to test out the 4WD just a few days after I picked it up:

Unfortunately, the dealership installed the wrong remote start system and I've already had some electrical problems. The battery was just replaced and the new, better remote start has been installed. Hmmm, has anyone else heard of a new battery simply being "bad" right off the lot? They didn't find that any of the systems were making unusual draws...? Anyway, the worst part is they put a major dent in the hood that split the paint so now I won't get it back until Monday with a freshly painted hood. Tough luck, I know.

Anyway, here's another pic from the night I picked it up!

oh yeah! i upgraded to the 4runner so I can tow my R6 better

thanks guys! although i haven't been able to enjoy it as much as i should be right now, i'm super stoked! that snow u see on the ground is from about the first 30 minutes of the storm when it was coming down hard. we ended up getting a few inches that night... no match for my rubber floor mats haha. it's funny u said that about the white car in the snow since that's why i took the pic in the first place. i sent it to my gf with basically the same caption :lmao:

WELCOME! Congratulations on the new 4R! Looks beautiful! Sorry to hear about the lack of enjoyment but there will be PLENTY of that to come.

Also, welcome to your new addiction! I started coming to this forum and can't get enough of it!

Just drove my 4R in the snow for the first time today and loved the control! Keep us posted on upcoming mods!

yah it just really sucks to buy a brand new car for the first time and already have body work done in the first week of ownership. i'm also hesitant to drive anywhere too far at this point bc they really don't know why the battery completely failed like it did. either way, for the 3 days within the past week and a half that i've had it, i've loved it

as for mods, my bike doesn't really allow me the luxury of, well, having extra money haha. i'll be fine driving the car "as is" for now. maybe sometime down the road...

Nice, nice, nice. You'll love the Limited. The only thing is: Toyota didn't color-match the running boards and top carrier. It probably saved them $1M or more.

Welcome! That's a very nice runner. Where around chicago do you race that r6? I use to have an R1 but I sold it almost two years ago and I've missed it ever since.

Nice Pics, congrats and good luck...or I should say better luck . Shame about the hood, but the paint is brand new and should be matched perfectly. I too just picked up a limited but I chose the V8 and lovin it. The truck is soooo smooth, very happy with it. Enjoy.

i'm just pissed about having a yellow grille and front bumper with a white hood. the colors are waaay off... i'm still ironing out some kinks with toyota, though. they still can't seem to get the hood perfect although i know it'll never match the plastic parts.

thanks! i go all over... that pic is from blackhawk farms just north of rockford but i go farther north to road america or south/southeast in indiana (putnam), around the lake to south haven, MI... there's a lot of tracks if ur willing to travel a little bit
