New Warn Semi-Hidden Winch Kit bumpers

My winch is the xrc gen2 and i mounted the control box on the passenger side of the winch no issues at all.

Mine didn't hit the line, I'll snap a photo of it shortly and post it.
So I don't know how all of you are finishing this in 3-4 hours. Im on day 3 running total time of about 8 hrs. I know I am a slow fairly meticulous worker (think James May) but damn I still don't know how you could do this in less than 5.
The bumper is mounted and winch is wired, now just gotta make the cut :Cry::Cry: and put the cover back on.
I probably fiddled with mounting the control box to the winch for about 1.5 hrs, was about to smash it to bits with a hammer. Taking the bumper cover off was shockingly easy, took maybe 5 minutes.
Only pain points I've ran into so far were the vertical bracket running from hood latch (see post above). I ended up just bending it a bit with a wrench (found info on C4 bumper install thread) and I ended up cross threading one of the bolts that goes into the radiator support frame. Will order a tap and try and fix it.

Here's the best picture I can get of the clearance with the X20 series 10K winch (solenoid mounted on top of the winch not on the side).
Did anyone else have issues with this bolt? On one side I cross threaded it, the other side goes in and out ok but it is flattening out the threads on the bolt a good bit. Is it definitley M12x1.25p? I bought a thread tap and was going to clean the threads up but wanted to confirm that is the correct size.
Update: it is an M12x1.25p. I cleaned the threads with a thread tap and everything bolted up great.
Best way to bolt these three bolt is to get the bolt near the A2 leader in pic below just barely started then get B7 mostly threaded in then do the B5 bolt.

I have a question for you guys that have already done it......
What did you use for a template for the bumper cover cut? I heard that someone recommended tracing the valance cover before removing it. Is that a valid cut line or do I need to develop a different template/cut line?

I got mine a week ago. Same thing, the packaging sucked. It was definitely moving around in the box. But no damage.

I think the general guideline is trace the valence on a trail and bump on an SR5 a few pages back there is a little more guidance from someone who installed already and there is a ton of info on SSO and C4 threads. But I still haven't cut mine yet so could be talking out of my ass
Another concern I noted while doing this install process is the proximity of the frame extension bracket to the sway bar. They were just barely not touching but certainly would be on flex. Luckily I had a sway bar relocate bracket kit from my Icons I'm about to install. Bolted that on to give some clearance.

I have a Superwinch Tiger Shark steel cable sitting in the garage and just got my bumper Monday. The roller fairlead that came with my winch has no chance of fitting in there. Guess it is time for a Warn steel hause fairlead.

Installed mine today. Things I found out, tracing the trail silver piece on the bumper works but the opening could be a little bigger. I had to file on one of the inside bolt holes that goes to the frame horn to get it to start. Warn steel hause style fairlead will be here Wednesday.

I don't know what your drop ended up being, but mine was approximately 1/4", but I have a Pro and Toytech 2" kit on the front. Wasn't so bad for my setup.

Hoping to get mine done quickly and looking good as you guys.
Mine dropped about a 1/4" also. I put 2 turns on my Toytec boss coilovers and it was right back where it was supposed to be.

I haven't had a chance to measure yet, but definitely had a greater effect then I expected. I'll look into the Toytech setup.
