Hi all,

Just bought a 91 4runner, 3lt efi 4runner rv6.
New to toyota since im a ford man, And new to 4wd so its going to be interesting.
Needs abit of work but im excited to start work. Already went through and cleaned the wiring that was left in from last owner:crybaby:. Now its on to the good stuff:surfer:, clutch is tomorrow so have exedy HD tuff clutch going in and its alreay lifted so thats already sorted(funny watching the short arse misses try to get in.
Engine has seen better days and has a tapping from it once the oil has wamred up, so could be a few things but im trying to figure to go 2.8ltr diesel instead since I might be getting a bashed up one hopefully for spares or just rip the exsisting one apart and try and fix it.

Anyways good to be here and hope to have fun.

Welcome! Diesel will be very expensive unless you do all your own work. Around here (Portland, OR) you can get a new 3vze for around $1400. If you plan to keep it around, personally I would get a new motor with headers. Search around the classics section, you will find lots of information!

Yeah around here I would be hard press to find a decent 3ltr, and yeah I would be doing the work myself. Not really that hard to work on them.
I would rather keep the petrol 3ltr unless I went turbo diesel
