Hi everyone. Just wanted to say hello I just joined. I had a question, how do you get a small pic under your name on the right. If someone could pm with the basics of loading pics or stuff with posts that would be great. Thanks, D

You go to "user cp" at the top. Then you click on "Edit options". At the bottom you will see something about and Avatar. Click that. There is a limit to how big the picture can be so your probably going to have to make yours smaller.

I would advise you to take another picture that doesn't have so much backgroud in it. Try to get as close to the 4runner as possible.

If you want to just upload a picture to post I would use Photobucket. You have to make a username and then your good to go. You just upload your pictures then click on the "IMG Code". You then paste that code into a text box and your picture will show up.

Welcome aboard!!!
Very nice 4Runner, I love clean lines and streamlined paint schemes....

Kudos, now lets see some more pics!!!!:worthless

And some more. The 99-02 Grill's a little higher in the mounting of the panels under the headlights. I plan on moving the hole slightly higher in the panel to straighten out that gap, but for now they are bolted up to secure them. I guess Im anal but I have to look at it everyday and it drives me crazy. Just thought i'd add that so everyone know its going to be fixed soon.

I'm gonna say the pix were taken at Wildwood Park?
I did sometime in Hasty Hills when I was a kid.
At the Botanical Gardens actually. I see the "Phishtaco"and wanted to let you know I was a phan too. I grew up here and recently moved back to continue my education. Best thing for this economy! Maybe we have crossed paths before. I hung around in OH from about 94-99. If you were around then let me know.

Hey David,
question: because you're work is so seamless did you get everything professionally done or did u do it yourself? I was just wondering because your bumper and body color are exact. Your bumper came chrome stock, correct? I'm a fan of your truck, I have the same year and I want to do something similar.

oh! and welcome!!

Thanks, I actually got tapped at a light last year around this time. Rear bumper was dented as well as the front from bumping the car in front of me. So their insurance sent me the check for the body work and I set off to locate the parts. I replaced the front bumpers, brackets, valance, rear bumper, rear bumper corners, and rear bumper brackets as well as all the hardware for everything. The headlights and the grill were done at this time too. I dropped the bumper pieces off at body shop that does paint work for custom builders around here. It cost around $200-250 bucks. I installed everything myself but didn't do the paint. It is a perfect match. I think they did a great paint job. The fit of these aftermarket bumpers are not quite as "Lexus" precise as I would want, but this is my daily driver that takes quite a beating so a mm here and there is not a biggy. I do have to move the holes up in the brackets on the grill side of the panels under the headlights, the 99-02 grill ended up a little higher than the old one. Other than that it was a seamless transition. Check on
www.autopartswarehouse.com for the bumpers and brackets. You'll have to go to the dealership and order lots of hardware off of their parts diagrams, there are too many to remember off hand. In regards to the other work, everything else I have done.
The only pic I could find of starting disassembly

And one before the switch. The side steps are for sale if anyone wants to make an offer!

~original[/IMG] I am confident it will look better in the snow this year. If you have any specific ?'s I would be happy to try and answer them.
