thought about doing this too. how many coats did you use?
Much better! I've never really been a fan of the chrome licence plate trim......great work covering it up!
hmmm. my 2000 limited already came blacked out. was this stock or did its previous owner also know about the magical ways of the plasti dip?

I am the original owner haha and I'm prettay sure COB is right on this one^^
EDIT**
JK tucson I read your post wrong i thought you were talking about mine haha. mah baddd.
I see what you did with yours, just covered it with a spare tire..nicehahahah.
well while ive got you on here my hitch is looking pretty similar to yours, im thinking about plasti dipping that as well. not sure how its going to come out considering the amount of room i have around it. ever thought about this?
Looks Great man! Just one suggestion......as I wish I had done this.....spray the plastidip with some clear coat spray. Makes it easier to clean.......my lower valance is a PITA....wish I would have known that before installing it on my truck!
Never heard of the stuff. Will it come out the same matte black look?
So Today I've been working on dipping the whole rear bumper and its taking longer than i thought it would.
Removing the bumper was a hassle though i was able to do it.
I prep'd the bumper by sanding it down and washing beforehand.
Sprayed about 3 coats on each piece(3pc)
and finished off with Clear coat.
I'm still in the process of doing it right now just taking a little break.
but it should be back on by the end of the day and will post pics tmmrw probably because it'll be dark tonight.(duh!)
i cant wait to see how this will turn out. i have the same color runner and i was going to do this this weekend so youll be my tester! did we ever find out what kind of clear coat to apply so it still has the matte look?
