My 33s werent in the greatest shape and I found these for a great deal so I said why not.

Currently it is just a suspension lift and it does rub here and there :wacko:
Coming up next is a 1.5" or 2" bodylift as well as some hammering.
Do you plan on regearing?

I'll get around to it eventually
but too be honest it is nowhere near as bad as I imagined. Driving around town it is still very driveable.
The only issue I would foresee is large hills and some really busy on-ramps during rush hour.

I'm sure we'll cross paths at some point. If you ever want to take your rig out to bulldog canyon or somewhere let me know. I go out with a few montero guys who go out frequently.
I actually just saw a green 3rd gen with a lift, 33s and roof rack drive past me a few minutes ago. An older dude with a big beard.

I'm probably going to put the perch back on bottom one once I go with the body lift.
I just removed the bottom half of the front bumper so that gave me tons of clearance.

I would just cut more and forget the body lift nonsense

you should consider a tapered body lift. basically you have the front at 2 inches and the rear at zero and make each puck in between increase in size. then put your springs on the first perch. now you have 5" of lift all around. the body lift doesnt really help in the rear because the tires stuff in at an angle and rub the vertical wall of the wheel well.
