I loved the DIY on the dash LED's: Complete

I replaced the rear main seal and over the last two years, this truck has proven itself and I love it.

I live in socal and run some businesses that the 4runner, with 158,000 miles has come in handy with the room to carry things. I also have 4 large dogs to shuttle around. Occasional light offroad driving. 5,000 to 6,000 miles a year.

Shipping now: OEM steering rack, energy bushings, and OEM outer tie rods, Pioneer 2 din and backup camera, 18 cu ft roof bag, front and rear door replacement speakers.

Brakes are nearing service: I think I've decided on the Tundra 199mm for their increased stopping ability and better rotors and that I have stock wheels and I just don't believe that I truly need the 231mm. All while the steering rack is off, I might replace the brake booster which is starting to feel like it's going and the brake lines while im at the booster and calipers and rotors.

Considering the Tundra springs with Bilstein shocks. Am I right that this gives us a 1" lift and that I wont need to extend the steering shaft or drop the diff?

The tundra bilstein setup can net you lift ranging from about 1.5 to 3 inches depending on which perch you put it on. If you go with this you won't have to extend the steering shaft, that's only needed for body lifts. The diff drop is totally optional. It will help the cv angles some but it's not needed unless you feel the need for it.

I'd recommend a diff drop if lifting at all. Depending on age of boots, you may even CV leak with a diff drop, initially.

I've searched and read every thread that came up during the last 5 years 231mm vs 199mm.

I gather that the 199mm is an upgrade over stock but not such a huge departure as the 231mm. I'm not towing and only occasional light off-road.
