That's very true, but he's not the only reason our defense is good. We've got arguable the best front 7 line behind SF and some would even argue better as well as arguably the best safety in the game. I don't think we've played an offense to nearly the caliber of Denver, so that's definitely going to be a big challenge, but I think we'll be up for it. Just have to slow it down a bit and I believe (especially with Percy back) that our offense can exploit Den defense pretty well.
Only one way to find out!

My pick for the Superbowl: Denver 108 - Seattle 3. Sherman broke the golden rule of idiots: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." I'm sure we will read about him in 10 years as one of the NFL players who went bankrupt. "The average professional athlete in the U.S. will make more in one season than most of us earn in our entire lives….[yet,] despite those staggering salaries, 78% of NFL players, 60% of NBA players and a very large percentage of MLB players (4x that of the average U.S. citizen) file bankruptcy within five years of retirement. Go Broncos!

Honestly though, the key to this game will be Seattles ability to control the ball or not. Seattles running game got tough against a very strong Niner defense in the 2nd half yesterday. The Broncos defense is nowhere near as strong.
If Lynch and that line pound the ball the way they can (and in a way Denver has not seen this year), then they keep Manning off the field and take this game convincingly. Lynch is an incredibly tough runner and will wear them down.

Broncos are 7th against the rush this season along with Seattle and we have a good pass rush enough to rattle an inexperienced Wilson. Seattle wont run roughshod on Denver's D but I do think Manning can pick apart Seattle's secondary. I don't see Seattle putting up 30 but can they hold Denver under 30 is a key for them to win.

Well, if all the hits he took this Sunday as well as fumbling the opening play didn't rattle him, I'm not sure what will.
The interesting thing in my mind will be the loss of Von Miller and the return (hopefully for longer than a half) of Percy Harvin. I did say that our D hasn't gone against a super high octane offense like Denver, but our own offense has continually played some of the best (in my opinion of course) defenses in football.
And as I've said before, as long as the refs don't play a pivotal role in it on either side, I'll be happy. It's going to be a great game and being the Super Bowl, anything can happen. Not many fans left around these parts that remember all of the Denver/Seattle battles when we were in the AFC West together, but I sure do!

First off the refs helped the Seahawks win that game. However for people to throw food at an injured player is bullshit and totally disrespectful. I don’t blame the whole 12th man or every Seattle fan and saying that they are all like that is nonsense. it’s just like how Philly fans get a bad name, I’m so tired of hearing about how bad Philly fans are about throwing snowballs at Santa and other stupid stuff that they try to give Philly a bad name, just because you have passionate fans that show tough love, doesn’t mean they are bad fans. Also every team has those “fans” or stupid drunken people who go to the game and do things that true fans wouldn’t do, but they ruin the reputation of all good fans. Now Seattle fans are all going to have a bad name just as the Philly fans do because of some stupid idiots. There is nothing better than passionate fans that actually know the game and cheer on their team, so for people to start saying there are bad fans is stupid. Also the whole situation with Richard Sherman I do not completely blame him, it was an intense situation and he just made a big play and then got a camera shoved in his face and he said what was on his mind, which was completely fine in my opinion. Football is the closest thing you can get to war and a lot of sh*t talking happens. Everyone needs to stop being so sensitive about him playing with emotion on the field, they get paid to do that and when you train and put so much of your life into winning the game, you are going to have some strong emotions in the game. I blame the cameras for the stupid interview with him now being looked at as trash, they should not be interviewing people so quickly and that’s the result.

Von Miller was suspended for the first 6 games and then was injured the last several so can't miss something that wasn't there. The Broncos have overcome alot of season ending injuries on both sides of the ball, suspensions and coach Fox going out for a month with heart problems so nothing takes this team's focus from the big prize. Manning is figuratively and literally driving this team.

Or how about the Philly fans that threw objects at a bus carrying Cardinal fans after a game in which the Phillies lost.
Or how about the Eagles fans that jumped the Lion's fan and knocked him unconscious after a recent game??

Come on now, if you quote specific areas of my post you can twist it in any way you want. The whole point I was trying to say is that just because some drunken "fan" does something horrible doesn’t mean that all fans are like that. Once something bad happens everyone generalizes and says it’s all the fans, and makes the rest and majority of the fans look like crap because of the actions of a few people. Every team has incidents where a “fan” does something that is wrong. But to blame a whole group of fans for a small minority of people in that group is just generalizing and not right. If you actually read my whole post and didn’t just quote areas you would see that I was saying “Also every team has those “fans” or stupid drunken people who go to the game and do things that true fans wouldn’t do, but they ruin the reputation of all good fans.” And I used the Philly fans as an example about how because of an incident that happened with the Seahawks now people are calling all their fans classless and generalizing all of them to doing that just like people do for Philly fans. That’s all I was saying is how people are generalizing a whole fan base by a few incidents of drunken idiots.
Ok, with my team in the same division as the Sea Chickens, the NFC Best, I was reassured in my hatred for both the Sea Chickens and the Fourty Whiners. Both are great teams, however, they need to go to the Larry Fitzgerald School of how to be a pro athlete. Or the graduate school of "How to be an Adult" by Peyton Manning. I was sickened by both teams conduct on the field and after the game! I am very proud of the NFC West, and the teams in this division, but it makes me sad to see both teams act like 4 year olds, much less the fans. I know a few drunk ass hats ruin the image of the city for everyone. Trust me, we have them here also, just not to that degree.

Sherman is an SOB, but he is our SOB. I would definitely hate Sherman if he was playing on any other team. Put Sherman in any team and I'm sure those team's fans will be all behind him.
To those who are downplaying his being a factor in that Seattle win, of course he was a major factor. KAP WAS NOT PASSING TO ANYONE SHERMAN WAS GUARDING! Checkout the halftime stats, Kap made only 17 passing yards in the first half. The halftime analysis were right, 49ers will not will if Kap doesn't pass. And yes, when he did pass Sherman's way, it was a disaster. What a big mistake.

Meh, it's hard to take some athletes' academic success at face value...
His high school is an under-performing unranked school in Compton. He scored a 1060 on the SAT (that's using the updated scale out of 2400 and that wasn't his first attempt). That score is too low to qualify for most 4 year universities, let alone the average 2100 score of Stanford acceptees. Does that really seem indicative of his 3.9 GPA or is this another case of a talented athlete coasting as long as the school looks good? And let's be real... a degree in communications is about as easy as it gets.
Kudos to him for taking advantage of his abilities and getting to where he is today though. He is a good player - potentially great - and would probably be even more respected with a bit of humility and gamesmanship.

Seattle's #1 defense only defeated 1 top 10 offense and that was in the Saints who they played twice at home and Graham is their only receiving threat. Otherwise they feasted on middling offenses and took out the 4 worst offenses in the league so to say the least I'm not impressed.
Another fun stat is Denver is the #1 ranked offense of all time while the 'Hawks D is ranked 32nd all time. I think only the weather could hinder Denver or if Bad Manning shows up.
