So I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to jabs and trash talk and perhaps some wagers against rivaling fans. C'mon NHL fans. Let's see what you got to say about your team.

Would definitely love to talk some smack but my Rangers right now are just absolutely awful so i'll keep my mouth shut for now! lol:dammit:
 
Would love to jaw with you but my Devils are off to a rocky start. Beating the Rangers is always nice but it's better when they beat professional hockey teams. In Lou We Trust so I fully expect them to overcome this soon.

Going to be an interesting season for us. I think it will all come down to Andre-Fleury and how he reacts when he gets a bit shelled. If he can keep it together, I think we've got a good shot.
 
Devils, Rangers and Flyers are all off to terrible starts.

Looking like a good year for the sharks and the avalanche.
 
Kinda neat for us in the Halifax, Nova Scotia area. The, or one of the, best players in the world, Sidney Crosby, is from Cole Harbour and currently leading the NHL in scoring. Also, the #1 draft pick overall was Nathan MacKinnon who is also from Cole Harbour. He plays on the Avs and is currently tied for 2nd in scoring.

I was able to see him play a few games last year when he was still on the Halifax Mooseheads and that kid can wheel!

The Avs were my favourite team growing up- back in the Sackic/Forsberg days but I kinda like seeing the Pens do well. I always root for the Leafs too... just because Toronto is the biggest hockey market and the fans are loyal.... unlike the Habs.

Holy crap the Islanders need a #1 goaltender, Nabby will be dead come mid season at this pace. All in all I think they look pretty good, along with The Canucks (my other team), but man the Rangers look like dog shit, can we please have Lundqvist?
 
Agree. The Isles look like a strong balanced fast team. They should be working hard to bring in Ryan Miller. Hope they are. I like their coach and young leadership. Tavares is in the top 10 in the league.

great trade for the isles! what is snow thinking!? I think he is trying to keep up with Sather at being a horrible gm!

I'm guessing they are trying to sign big names to attract more establish players that wouldn't want to come here otherwise. If they can sign vanek then other "good" players may see the islanders are willing to spend some money finally (instead of bull shit 10 and 15 year contracts on duds.)
Nabokov lost another one for the team again tonight...ugh he's frustrating to watch.

That was a good game last night! Glad my rangers finally showed up! Dont worry about the Isles not being able to land talent. With them moving to Brooklyn next year and having a better financial footing.....they will definitely be an attractive place to play.
 
Was at the Devil game last night and good to see they got back to good "old school" Devils hockey - be patient, force and capitalize on mistakes. Shame on the Devs fans who ditched so quickly on this team after so few games. They are finally gelling after adding more new faces than they normally do. Gotta stay on a roll now after beating two of the best in the East in Boston and Tampa.

Was scoreboard watching and disappointed to see the Isles lose that one to the Rangers.
 
The Avalanche are actually showing up this year which is surprising.

Then our goalie, Varlamov, went and turned himself in last night on assault and kidnapping charges. Hopefully it was some misunderstanding with his significant other….

I have to say though, watching TJ Oshie in the Russain shoot out was amazing!

Anyway, who's taking the cup? I'd like to see a Leafs-Pens conference final and would be content with either team winning the cup... though if the Pens win, Sid would be bringing the cup to Halifax so that'd be cool. He's usually home for the summer anyway but still.
 
I think we might end up in the playoffs this year. I sure would like to see the Jackets there. Injuries could keep us out though. Gaborik will be back by the end of the month which is good. Hopefully Bobrovsky won't let the Olympic performance get to him to much.

I'm surprised to see Tampa so far up in the standings. Since Stamkos should be back any day now it should be interesting to see what they can do.

Also hoping this olympic break gave my canucks a change to shake the losing streak they've been on.
 
GO PENS! Although, I'm still unconvinced that Fleury has the head this year to take us to the cup. Hopefully he'll lock it down after this break.
 
Sort of on-topic, but just watched the movie Goon the other night. I was surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did. I recommend it!
