Nice Build in Death Valley [What's attached?]

I saw this FJ in Death Valley last week and had to snap a few shots.
Anyone want to try to reverse engineer what gear they have?

Nice setup for sure. AT makes a couple trailers that are similar. That one looks like a custom build though, very nice stuff!

I love those propane tanks. If I kept my trailer at home I would have them, but they are far to expensive to leave at a storage yard. Sweet find!

I'm trying to make sense of the roof too. Looks like a cell boost antenna, a CB, GOBI Stealth Rack, can't figure out what's attached to it though... A roof tent on top of the trailer.... Also not sure about the electrical setup on the nose of the trailer or the drain pipe on the back.

That roof rack 100% sure isn't a Gobi. Hi-lift jack on the back.Bike mounts either side. Sliver box at the rear of the rack, is most likely storage for recovery gear etc....

The trailer I truly wouldn't be surprised if it was a very early prototype of AT's horizon trailer as the fuel cans, water tank, battery storage(box on tongue of trailer), side compartments and roof tent mount are almost identical to their current product and setup. It could be on the other hand someone who has found their outsource and built there own setup, either way its a nice clean example and I wouldn't mind having one

Looks like a hi-lift on the rear of the rack. A CB or HAM antenna on a Diamond mount on the tailgate. First I thought an awning on the passenger side, but it looks more like a wheel gutter for a bike in one of the more up close pictures. a piece of gutter and some sort of mount are on the driver side, but no good enough pics for that to make it out. Those gutters are mounted on crossbars that are on top of the Gobi, so I'm going to go with bike attachments.

On the rear of the rack is a storage trunk of sorts. looks metal.

The trailer looks like a custom build on a M101 or M203 type surplus trailer. Hydrolic jacks on the rear to stabilize it (similar to the Radflo Hydra-jack).

Trasharoo on the spare tire. Can't see the smaller antenna on the rear passenger side enough to make out what it might be for.

Definitely one of Bob Brown's trailer...he's also the builder of the Aspen X Trails Trailer.....one hell of a fabricator...I have pics of the current build going on right now...a very talented guy. I know there was a certain camp that *****ed he was a copycat...but the suspensions were different than the AT product.

I'd heard some of the same stuff after doing more research. One thing I can't find is where to find him on the internet. Do you have a link?

These are really nice. Out of my price range though. More expensive then the adventure trailers. This website appears to just feature camper styles. Any idea where to find more of a gear trailer?

Absolutely..

Just that "gear" can cover a wide expanse of personal preference.

Both have trailer sections. Homebuilts, professionally made, what ever your little heart desires....there's a trailer for everything. If you have maybe just a bit more than an average skillset and some tools, you could build up your own to suit your specific needs. They also have classified sections in each place that have some pretty nice, already to go trailers.
