I am very interested, but do you have a camera i can possibly but to go with this lens? If not, can you suggest any that will fit this lens? (I know NOTHING about cameras. Getting this as a gift for my sister for Christmas )

yes, it will work great on the D50, and that is an awesome starter kit for your sister. the only other thing you will need (based on what is included with the body) is a memory card and possibly a charger, like I said, unless he is including it with the body.

Just about any Nikon D-SLR. It'll work best with Dx0, Dxx00 and D100/200/300/300s bodies. Though the Dx00 are considered pro level bodies, while this lens is a consumer level lens.

Yes, on all Nikon D-SLRs. Wouldn't recommend it on a full frame (FX) camera, but it will work too.
