Hey Guys. If you are looking to get a new set of sneakers for you truck you have to go check out eBay. Discount tire is doing their 100 off 450 sale. Thanks for these photos. It made my decision easier. I was going to go with the 285's but with the TRD PRO wheels that was a risk I wasn't able to take. I think it looks great with the stock size tires. Are you running the Toytec lift on that?

I'm running the Boss 2.5 front and rears. They ride amazing. I wouldn't change a thing. The tires are great. The 265s looks skinny at times but I wouldn't go 285s unless I you got wider rims.

Just got done putting these through their paces through some trails in Black Rock Desert, NV. We got through some pretty crappy trails, and got to test them in mud, sand, and rock.

The mud we hit was extremely nasty stuff, and the muck would suck your boot right off your foot. I got stuck a few times, as did a few others this weekend even with mud terrains. They definitely held their own and cleared out well.

These are extremely quiet on the road, and through sandy and rocky sections I had no issues either. I rode the sidewalls straight up against a boulder during a recovery and didn't notice any unusual chunking or tears.

So far I'm pretty happy with these.


Example of the mud we hit, would reduce any Mud Terrain to slicks. KM2 pictured.

Same KM2 this weekend, a couple hours later, leading us into a 6 hour recovery

Haven't aired them down at all so the jury's still out on these, but happy with how they've done through mud and slush so far. Not sure how they will fare on rocks and dirt compared to the old KO2s which I really liked.

Its been a month. Could I please ask for some feedback and more pictures of the 305s? I have 285/70 KO2s and this thread has me itching for more tire, bigtime! 305 seems like a great size for our trucks. Saw your post above, did you have to cut much more coming from 285s?

I posted a small review right above your reply there, overall I'm pretty happy with them.

I had to trim a bit of the lower fender flare to get them to fit. Additional caster also helps.

I have 305/40/22 terra grapplers I've only had them a week or so... so far so good. I'm at stock height, so there is some rubbing--but it's not too crazy. I plan on getting a 2.5 inch (maybe 3") lift soon, that should lessen the rubbing...

I have 305/40/22 terra grapplers I've only had them a week or so... so far so good. I'm at stock height, so there is some rubbing--but it's not too crazy. I plan on getting a 2.5 inch (maybe 3") lift soon, that should lessen the rubbing...

I was referring to 305/70 17s but thanks. Good luck fixing the rubs. I found a dremel to the bumper to be pretty effective.

No rubbing here. Aftermarket wheels with stock backspacing.

You may want check that the steering knuckle isn't bent.

No bends. I haven't mounted my new tires yet but since the shoulders of the Ridge Grapplers are a bit more aggressive than my current Cooper ATP's I'm curious if they will rub. My ATPs get close to the UCA at full turn but no contact. I'll find out this Friday.

Im doing research on these tires and my mind is blown at how great these look at 265.. I was originally hinging for 285s, but seeing as how this is going to be my daily driver I'm starting to re-think. They don't look too small at all in this tire.

Thanks man. After 6k miles, I'm still loving the tires. I don't regret getting the 265s one bit. They ride exceptionally well and I'm impressed with the quietest if the tires.

So if I am understanding this thread correctly.. The 285/70/17 would not fit on a stock 5th gen trail rim? It seems like everyone that went 285 had/chose to change their wheels. Is that accurate?

Also, If you have any more side view pics of your 265s on your truck I would love to see them!

My tire guy mentioned that the 285 does fit but if you air down, it wouldn't be good. I didn't want to find out the hard way. I went with his recommendation. I'll snap some shots later today.

Go talk to discount tire at their location, bring up the sale and see what they can work out for you with delivery there and install.
