Awesome! How long/how many miles have you had them? I read they initially had ball joint issues, but have since addressed the cause and redesigned it so these will be on the "to buy" list!

I also saw a mention of lower control arms on posts early on, but couldn't find more details. Are your lower control arms stock? I'm in the process of sawzall-ing my seized camber adjusters out... If you have had to do this in the past and know any tricks, I welcome your input!

I've had the UCAs for almost 4 years now and about 50k miles. And yeah stock LCAs. I've been told during an alignment a couples years ago that the cam bolts were seized but I haven't done anything about it yet. I need to do the lower ball joints too so I'll take care of it all at once when the time comes.

That's good to hear on the uppers. I just ordered LCA kit from Autopartswarehouse. About $200 for a pair, with bushings and ball joints. I'll be cutting the camber adjusters out with an electric saw.

Ended up going with eBay LCAs which appeared to be good quality. I guess time will tell. I needed a grinder to cut off the old seized cams which was a nightmare. The sawzall wasn't even close to powerful enough. I rebuilt the whole front end, pics will be up soon (eventually)

This is a great build thread. I just bought an 06 SR5 V6 and have been reading many threads to build an Overland vehicle and like the stance of the lift and the tire choice you have on this rig.

Keep it up, your truck looks great.

I was poking around looking for the 1/2 inch body lift. Did you do a write up when installing? the bumper lookds bad ass, hope to get one this year myself.

Love what you have done to your rig! With all the money you have put into your 4Runner, I am surprised you have not added a diff locker!

I am hoping to add an ARB Air Locker on the rear and maybe a TrueTrac on the front.

I have some more pics I can post up with the sliders on. I also got a chance to jack up the truck today using them as a jacking point, no problems, very sturdy!

Good old thread revive...but Just picked up a set of these locally and hopefully install them in the following weeks. Can I ask how they held up for you or if you could use them as a jacking point?

They're holding up great. I plan cleaning them up and using POR15 after they got a little rusty over the years, just gotta find the time. They're solid and can definitely be used as a jacking point. I don't have a Hi-Lift jack so I don't regularly use them to jack up the truck but I have in the past.

I didn't do a write-up but it's pretty straightforward. With the 1/2" spacer lift you don't need to replace any hardware with longer bolts. It helps to have a second person with a wrench or socket when reinstalling the bolts.

With the off roading I have done I never NEEDED a locker as the factory ATRAC has always been enough but maybe one day!

Just had to necro this thread as it remains one of my favourite builds and build threads on this forum. Lots of great info and inspiration.

I love that blue -- I was really hoping for the same colour when shopping around for my '07 but had to take it in Twizzler Red. So it goes.
