So my paint started cracking on my lower door trim on my '98 Limited, pretty horrendously, which lead me to look into mudflaps. Well since I don't really want to drill into my pristine fender flares or inner wheel wells, I came up with no options for a drill-less install. And no one makes these types of flaps for Limiteds so I needed to put something together. So I did.
I found these flaps at O'Reilly's for about $25 and they were a pretty straight forward install.
Basically, just take the one screw from the trim midway up the inner wheel well, and the lower screw. I made a cardboard cut out of the flap so I could tape it in place and see how it looks.
I then took the cardboard cut out and put it on my flaps as a guide where to make holes in my flaps.
Then basically screw them in place!
PS- I also cut another hole on the mud flap on the top of the innermost part of the flap and closest to the inner wheel well, and zip-tied it to a unused hole on my wheel well. Keeps it from flying off and hurting someone if it happens.
They work great!
