No Jiggle Valve on the Stant 170?

I'm collecting parts for my supercharger install and noticed something concerning: the Stant 170 degree thermostat that everyone seems to use has no jiggle valve! Should I drill a small hole? Knowing how big of a difference that the location of the jiggle valve makes it worries me not to have any at all.

Thoughts / experiences with the Stant?

I've been running one since I installed my SC, no modification required (or, I assume, necessary). Can't speak to installation, though--mine went on as part of a timing belt replacement, and that was something I had to let my mechanic do to get it done in time for a trip. So orientation could still be a factor.

Works as advertised... according to my OBDII reader, I rarely go above 183 now.

Mine didn't have it either. Just installed and it was all good. I stay right around 180 as well. A little warmer in the summer. No problems though
