No windshield fluid

I was wondering if anyone can help I'm sure I'm missing something here
I've had my truck since new and never had a problem with the windshield fluid freezing but after the extreme freeze in Colorado now when it gets cold my fluid doesn't spray I can feel it cracking in the hose at the base of the hood I used a heater and got it to work in my garage but when I drove a bit it froze up again I'm using the same fluid in all my vehicles, my work van stays outside all the time and the runner is in the garage most of the time

What kind of fluid are you using? Sounds like either the fluid is not rated for the cold, or water is getting into the system somehow and freezing. Check the washer fluid reservoir for leaks/damage and put in some fluid with an extremely low temperature rating to dilute the fluid in there that is freezing.

minus 20 like it used to be...

i bought some and made sure it was good to -35. i emptied all the fluid out till i got orange stuff pumping out my wipers. unfortunatly i forgot to do that with my rear wiper DUH, so thats been frozen for days

I use this Toyota windshield wiper fluid year round - just to avoid the issue you mention. Good to minus 40 Celcius.

This stuff works! It was in low minus 30 Celcius here this past week (low minus 40 Celcius with the wind chill).

If the washer fluid you are using is winter rated and not doing the job efficiently, go buy a bottle of rubbing alcohol and mix it into the gallon of your winter washer fluid.

I used to keep a bottle of it in my semi when I drove cross country during the winter.

mine was freezing on me this year also. i might have 10% of the cheap fluid in my tank so i added half a bottle of rubbing alcohol and its all good now. i have about an 8th of a bottle left that i mixed 50/50 with alcohol in case its needed

Just picked up some rainx orange washer fluid good to -25F for $3 at autozone. The blue crap was freezing up in mine, put the orange stuff in, and it's all good.
