Non-US Market Parts??

I apologize ahead of time if this has already been covered, but I wasn't coming up with any relevant results via the forum search function.

Are there any 4runner parts (OEM) which are unique to non-US markets?

The only thing I've seen remotely resembling this is a custom "Hilux Pro" badge that one member has (can't recall the member name).

Ok, let me clarify.

For my E92 and E36 M3's (both former vehicles), there are extensive options available in Germany that never made it to the US market. This included things such as bumper covers not modified with obnoxious reflectors for US safety standards; side mirrors with a slight angle/transition on the outer half to reduce blind spots; rear sun shades; different trim/leather kits. The list goes on and on, but it reflects the point that certain options are only provided in particular markets.

There do appear to be parts circulating for older-gen 4runners, including pods with an altimeter, clinometer, etc.

Or did the US market get access to all of the 5th gen options (excluding the RHD setup)?

I really have not seen any non-us market parts. Keep in mind that the 4Runner is not like an M3. The M3 is sold all over the place, while the main market of the 4Runner is North America. It is sold in other parts of the world (small markets), but the main focus of the Runner is here. We do share a platform with the Land Cruiser 150 (Prado), so you could start by looking there however we have a different body, and the petrol 4.0L is not the popular engine choice in the rest of the world.

Thanks, FrontRange. I wasn't aware that the 4Runner had such a specific/limited market. This makes a great deal of sense regarding the lack of any other-market parts.

No problem. I feel your pain, seems like the rest of the world always gets the good stuff when it comes to automobiles. Guess it's just one of those "grass is always greener" things.

There aren't any Non-Us Market Parts, because the 4Runner is for the most part a North American model. There was a "Hilux Surf" which was a rebadged 4Runner for over-seas markets; but the nameplate was retired with the final 4th Gen. Toyota never continued exporting the Hilux Surf after 2009. The Toyota LandCruiser Prado 150 is essentially the Non-US 5th Gen 4Runner for the most part, though the physical body has more sheetmetal in common with the GX460. So there probably won't be many "Non-US Market" parts that will cross over.
