Nor Cal Wheeling, Camping and BS - 2018

Reviving the Saturday, July 7, 2018, Corral Hollow Run.

There were many people interested. I think we need to get a total head count and then decide how to break-up the group if there are too many people.

The general consensus, was to meet at the Gas Station in Bear Valley Village. Let's say between 8:30 am and 8:50 am and leave there at 9:00 am. I would suggest that this is also a good place to air down since the trail is about ½ mile from this location.

Count me in!
And dibs on being in first group :D ... seriously though... I'll need to be off the trail and back in Dorrington by early afternoon for a family obligation.

Alright so I'm a For Sure on going. 9am is a bit early so I was going to shoot for about 9-10 being at the gas station which works out perfect. And this includes my jeep buddy who may have his wife in another vehicle as well so my RSVP counts for 3...

It's not too difficult. I am pretty certain a stock vehicle could make it without armor. will make it a little slower. A lift will make it somewhat easier. If you have the TEP, the locker will make it that much better.

Awesome, thank you. I was more worried about not having sliders, although I don't mind bending the running boards a bit if necessary. I'd like to sign up too if there is room.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to head to Reno area to help my grandmother for that weekend now. Sorry for bailing kinda last minute, but family comes first.

I'm planning to be up there July 21-28. If you and your wife are going to be up there, we'd love to meet back up with you. Open to everyone else here too.

I hope yall have fun, I was really looking forward to getting away from city life.

I don't know how I missed the posts for this long but I'm very interested. Since I'm stock height and all that, this looks like something my rig could handle and would be fun. Is there still room for more?

Also, I've never bothered to air down my tires for off-roading. Worth doing on this trail?

Sweet. I’ll plan on this. Looking forward to it!

when we first went, I think it was worth doing...

also, OT... Did you eventually find someone that could let you use their dyno?

Yeah, I ended up going to Reno Speed Labs though! The elevation really screwed up my tune though so will be going another dyno later in the year.

So am I allowed to go wheeling with ya'll?

Well good news/bad news... My jeep buddy is likely not gonna make it. Spent the last few days in the hospital with something not so pleasant. Looks like an opening for the later arrival time

Glad you found a shop that let you use their dyno. Surprised that some of the shops I mentioned to you denied you...

hehe Of course you're allowed to go wheeling with us. I don't see reasons why not.

I can join the 10 am crew. Let me check with the wife but it should be fine.

I did Red Lake to Blue Lake trail on Sunday. The trail is located bit East after Carson Pass. It was awesome, amazing views, decent difficulty, it get's rough after lower Blue Lake.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on Saturday.

Nice, that area in the Mokelumne wilderness is my favorite area to camp & hike. Absolutely beautiful landscapes. I might have to check that one out since it's not far from one of our camping spots. I like searching for bristlecone pine trees, some of them are over 2000 years old. No that's not a typo, they are the oldest living species on Earth.
