Wheel'n Sat. 7/21/2018 - Who's in?
Called NFS Tahoe Basin Mgt Unit this morning and confirmed with the ranger that everything is open - so we are good to go this weekend! :rockon:
The plan is to start on the north side (off Baker Pass Rd.) and run Blackwood Canyon (south) around the back of Homewood to where it meets up with the start of the Rubicon then head out (back to HWY89) via McKinney-Rubicon Springs Rd.
Details:
9:45am - Meet up at Starbucks in Rocklin (one near Bass Pro Shop off of Sierra College); address is: 5494 Crossings Drive, Pad 8, Rocklin, CA 95677
10:00am - depart for staging area
~12 noon - arrive at Blackwood Canyon OHV staging area (39.096251, -120.213389); air down; eat a quick lunch
12:30-12:45pm - hit the trail
~6:00pm - off trail in Tahoma back on the West Shore

I know I hate having to get up early on my day off, but Dayum.
There's still enough time to fly up the hill, run Signal Peak, fly down the back side, top off on 89 and still meet up at 12 in Tahoe.
I'll let you know, might see if I can find this clunk tonite, it just irritating and can't find anything wrong.

Just tighten it down more if you think that's where it is.
Had to do that on Deer Valley with Krister.
Started to hear the top washer clanking on that stud.
Have you isolated the sound to the front?

I'm near 99.9% positive it's the nut for the strut. The washer isn't clanking, but there's a pronounced thud. It's on there a fair amount, but just loose enough to move up and down a bit on uncompression.
Or it could be that a bolt on the control arm or something backed out which I doubt.
But yes, I've isolated it to the front.

Interested, my ABS actuator took a shit last weekend and I'm ordering the part for it today from this place in Sac. they said they would have it to me by Friday so fingers crossed.

And, yes, I can get you aired back up... I have a Viair portable compressor.

Fills up my 35s just fine from 10psi. Takes about 30 minutes though which cuts into the duty cycle time. Just a suggestion though.
